Garrett inhaled on his cigarette, standing outside of the bar. He rarely smoked, but on occasion he felt like he needed one. Today was one of those days. He had been stressed out from school all day. A cigarette and a drink wouldn't cure him, but it would definitely help. Getting his law enforcement degree was one of the most important things to him. And he wanted to be at the top of his class. Which put even more stress on him. He blew out the smoke, finishing up the cigarette and threw the butt in the barrel next to him. He knew he'd reek of smoke for the rest of the night, but he honestly didn't mind. At this point, the relief was better than the smell. It's not like he was there to pick anyone up, or meet Gia. She'd probably kill him for smoking, if she knew about his bad habit.
He walked into the bar, and sat down. "One Bud Light, please," he requested. The bartender grabbed a bottle and opened it up for him. Garrett took a big swig, and set the bottle back down on the bar. Tonight was going to be a good night. Maybe he'd text Gia and see if she'd join him. Or maybe he'd just try to meet new people. Not that he was normally one for doing that. But he didn't mind a conversation every once in awhile. Especially if it was with a pretty girl. Though, his mind was on Gia. It had been for weeks. He didn't know why that girl was so wrapped up in his mind, but he couldn't get rid of her. He wasn't sure what it was about her. He honestly wasn't even sure what his feelings were towards her. Garrett felt like he needed to protect her, because of her dancing. But there was something more, but he couldn't place it. Was it a brother-sister feeling? Lust? Like/love? He shook his head, trying to get the thought of her away for the night. He didn't need her confusing him tonight. He took another long drink, and requested another bottle from the bar.
