Paislee kissed Aurora on the head, and smiled at Elianna. "I'll be back in awhile, promise," she lied to the two of them. She wasn't sure why she still lied to Ellie. Ellie knew every trick and every sign there was to know when she was lying. Paislee quickly turned and headed out the door, not looking back. She was in for a day of shopping, and nobody was going to stop her. And she definitely wasn't going shopping with her three year old daughter. What a hassle that would be. She honestly didn't actually know what a problem it would be, as she had never taken her daughter shopping. But she figured it would be a problem, because that's what she saw when other people did it. Besides, she'd have fun shopping on her own. Or she'd meet up with people, and hang out. She knew she would be able to figure out something to do. And as long as it didn't involve Aurora, she'd be happy.
It wasn't that she didn't love her daughter, because she did. She just considered her as an interference in her lifestyle. In her own way, she adored that little girl. But it was just easier for Paislee if she just pawned Aurora off on Elianna. She had no idea what it was doing to Ellie, but she also didn't really care much, either. Her daughter was healthy, happy and well taken care of. That was all that mattered. Who cares if the work was done by someone other than the toddler's mother? It still was getting done.
Paislee walked into the mall, and scanned the food court in search of someone she knew. After about a minute, she gave up and headed to the shoe store. She needed new boots for the spring season, anyways. Paislee searched up and down the aisles, and tried on almost every pair the store had to offer. She really couldn't afford the new boots, but she had to make it look like she could. She pretended to be unimpressed, and left the store. She headed back to the food court, grabbed a water, and sat down at the table, wondering which store she would head to next.

Diana went to the mall, to buy some new horse boots. While she was there, she could not help herself and she bought some shoes to donate to the poor people at the local homeless shelter. She did, or course, pay for everything with her debit card that was connected to her father’s bank account.
Carrying her big bag from the shoe store, she decided to head to the food court, for a snack. On her way there, she eyed the toy store and considered buying toys for poor children, who probably did not even have any toys. She had, or course, done that more than once before, but not in this area. Her father had asked her to try to spend less of his money on other people, so she would think about whether to do it or not, while she was eating.
She noticed a girl, who she did not know, but had just seen at the shoe store, and remembered seeing around campus at some point. She looked at her, and nodded a hello, went and bought a fruit cup and a bottle of water, and looked around for a place to sit.

Paislee wasn't poor to be exact, but she did have her daughter to worry about. Not that she did very often, but she did try to help out Ellie when she could. She wasn't the best mother, but she thought she tried her best. Elianna knew better, but she was never going to say anything to Paislee. Paislee usually spent her money on alcohol, and cover charges to the night clubs around town. It was surprising she hadn't made it to the strip club yet.
Paislee raised her eye as a girl she didn't know nodded at her. Did she know her? She didn't think so, but it was possible she was in one of her classes, and Paislee didn't know about it. She never paid that much attention to the other girl's around her. It was the boys she was focused on. She knew about every attractive guy in all of her classes, but didn't know anything about the girls. It wasn't like Paislee to invite the other girl to sit down with her, so she just continued to drink her water and ignored everything around her.

Diana saw an empty table, next to the one where the girl who she had nodded hello too was sitting. The table was intended for two people, but there was no such thing as a table for one. She pulled out a chair, sat down, and started eating.
While she was eating she actually did think about whether or not to buy a bunch of toys to donate. On one hand, she had not donated toys in this area yet, and she considered it to be a very nice thing to do. On another, her father did not like her spending his money on other people, which she had just done. She was not sure why he didn’t mind her spending his money on herself, but did mind her spending his money on other people, except that she did spend a lot more of it on other people then she spent on herself.
