With a heavy sigh Gia fell backwards on her bed, obviously annoyed at the text message she had received. For once she had made plans to go out tonight and have some fun. Then of course her friend had to cancel last minute. Right after Gia had finished her hair and make up and picked out the perfect outfit. Well she had two options now, the first being to get her butt off her bed and head out. After doing all this work to get ready and putting on a outfit that was pretty much only suitable for the club, it would be a shame to let it go to waste. Or she could get dressed down into some pajamas, grab a tub of ice cream and watch Titanic. The first option it was, the 2nd just seemed a little on the sad side.
Though she really didn't want to go alone. It was always nice to have people you knew there to keep you company even if Gia was the Queen of meeting new people. Plus having a friend there meant that she wouldn't hopefully make any bad choices and would have some one to stop her light weight ass from going home with the first guy that talked to her. Thats when it hit her that she should invite Garret. Having him there with those big strong arms ......intimidating look would keep the guys away from her. Tonight all she really wanted to do was drink a little, dance, maybe chat and then maybe head back to her place for some food. Are you busy tonight?
Meet me at Number Five?
I need someone to keep me from making a mistake tonight xD
Oh I'll make you food afterwards!
She sent him a few texts, hoping that he would agree to come out with her. It had been a while since they first met and she was all ready feeling at ease and comfortable around him. Finding that he really wasn't as bad as he had seemed at first. Gia had really grown fond of him in the short time they had known each other. Maybe she hadn't really thought the cooking afterwards thing through especially since she planned to drink a little. Oh well that could be worked out later. She had left her house and was now at the club, it was a busy night and the dance floor was packed. Maybe she could convince him to dance with her and let loose. While she waited for him she decided to hit the dance floor.
So, baby, come light me up, and maybe I'll let you on it
A little bit dangerous, but, baby, that's how I want it
A little less conversation and a little more "touch my body"

Garrett rubbed his eyes, his phone waking him up. He had fallen asleep early, mostly because he had nothing better to do. Sleepily, he checked his text messages and groaned. Gia was growing on him, but she was a pain in his ass. Especially when she wanted something. But for some reason, he adored her. And he thought she needed his protection. She may think she's innocent, but all he could see in her was some trouble. And if she was planning on going out dancing, he better be there to make sure she would be okay. They hadn't known each other for very long, but he was loosening up around her. From the moment he met her, he knew she was bound to be in his life, one way or another. And he enjoyed being her friend. And he even enjoyed being the protective guy for her when she went out dancing.
'Chill woman, I'll be there.'
'And you better be cooking food. Drunk or not.'
He grinned as he sent the last text. Food was always a motivator for him, especially the way Gia cooked. Garrett climbed out of bed and grabbed a pair of ripped jeans and a black t-shirt from his dresser. The t-shirt hugged his body tight, showing off his abs. He wasn't doing it on purpose, but he also didn't mind showing off a little. Maybe he'd attract some female attention tonight. Though, he wasn't sure how Gia would feel about that. He shook his head. He couldn't believe he was worried about what she thought. That wasn't him at all. This girl had gotten into his head, bad.
Garrett left his apartment and headed to the club. He walked in, and immediately began searching the dance floor for Gia. He didn't even think to look anywhere else. Spotting her, he waved in hopes she'd see him, and then headed to the bar. There wasn't a chance she was going to convince him to dance with her. He had told her that the first time they met. He ordered a beer, and sat down at the bar to watch Gia dance. Damn, she could move. He took a big gulp of his beer and sighed. It was bound to be a long night if she continued to dance like she was.

If she would had known that he was asleep when she messaged him she would have left him a lone. Okay so that was a lie, who the heck sleeps this early on a weekend night, she would have bugged him anyways. Every one should have been out partying, or at least having some sort of fun even if that meant a few beers and pizza or going out to the movies. Then again he was working towards law enforcement so it was no surprise that he wasn't out making too many mistakes that he might regret, then again he was hanging out with Gia. She wasn't a bad mistake but she could be trouble to the right person. When she received his texts back she was a bit relieved and excited that he had agreed to come out.
Feelings had started to develop towards Garret but she hadn't made sense of them yet. They were just little nagging feelings there at the back of her mind that she didn't know how to put together. One thing about Gia was that she didn't like to share and she liked to be the boss. Having some other girl fight for Garrets attention while he was with her would not make her happy, even if they were just friends. Regardless of who was with her, she hated to share the attention. This sometimes gave off the wrong impression but she hadn't really cared or maybe it was more that she didn't even notice.
She had been on the dance floor for a while before Garret arrived. Luckily she had ended up joining a class mate she knew and was now dancing with to pass the time. Her eyes would wonder around the room periodically searching for his familiar face. There it finally was as her eyes met his and she waved back. Of course she kept dancing until the song had finished before making her way to the bar. Hope I didn't pull you away from something important she said. Though he probably would have declined if it was, she imagined. Gia turned her attention to the bartender and flashed him a flirtatious smile Can I get a long island Iced Tea? she asked. The girl enjoyed her mixed and fruity drinks rather than straight shots, at least when she was out and about. If she was lucky tonight, she may not have to pay for many of her drinks anyways.
Taking a seat next to him she turned to face the dance floor enjoying the craziness that was the club. She loved this kind of thing, being around people and just letting loose. Of course she also didn't mind the quiet either and just relaxing without much on the agenda. Sure tonight had been about fun and being out with a friend, but maybe she wanted to catch that friends eye. She wanted to ask him to dance but knew it was useless right now, maybe after a few drinks she thought. Now as my wing man there are some certain responsibilities she said pausing briefly. Most importantly though you have to make me look good even when I look bad she said jokingly. Of course she knew most guys that saw her with Garret would probably avoid her anyways.

Garrett had been tired from studying. He had fallen asleep early just to take a break from everything. He wasn't normally one to go out and hang out in a nightclub. He didn't see the point, honestly. He didn't dance. He wasn't looking for a girl to hook up with. And he really didn't need to drink. But when Gia messaged him, the pain in the ass she was, he readily agreed. Because it was her. Subconsciously, he was developing feelings for her. But he wasn't allowing himself to admit it - not even to himself. Garrett was stubborn, and he liked things to go his way. All the time. He hated not being in control of any situation he was in. Gia seemed to break down that side of him, though he usually still tried to take control. He just did his best not to let her know.
Garrett watched Gia dance from afar, enjoying the view. He wondered who her dancing partner was, but didn't say anything. They weren't together, after all. Just friends, nothing more. But he was protective over her. He didn't want anything to happen to her. Maybe a big brother, little sister type of relationship. He just wanted Gia to be safe.
"Just my bed," he commented. His bed was pretty important in his eyes, but being out here would do him some good. Better than sleeping the night away, even if this wasn't his scene. He'd be able to spend some time with Gia. He finished his beer with another big gulp, and ordered another one from the bartender. He shook his head at Gia's flirtatious smile. "Trying to get lucky tonight?" he asked, teasingly. Girls always flirted with the bartender, but he had yet to figure out why. He handed the bartender his credit card. "Open up a tab. Put her drinks on it, too," he said, motioning to Gia. The bartender nodded, and kept the card at the register for him.
He laughed. "I think you picked the wrong person as your wing man," he said. With him around, it was likely she wasn't going to get the attention she was seeking. Most guys tended to avoid a girl if she was with another. Especially a guy who looked like Garrett did. "But I'll do my best to make you look good. It won't be that hard," he commented, almost giving her a compliment.

Sure Gia didn't need to drink, dance, or go out and party but she sure wanted to when she got the chance. Especially on rare weekends that she had completely free. Now hooking up with guys she could take it or leave, it occasionally happened but she wasn't one to have a new one night stand every weekend. She was a girl and she had needs that she indulged in on the occasion but she left it at that.
Garrett was not like most of her friends and thats probably what she liked most about him. He tested her patience by trying to control the situation and somehow she was willing to give in just a little some times, most of her friends just let her take the lead and follow. But there was more, it was a feeling of safety and trust when she was around him. For example she knew tonight he would take care of her if things got out of hand. Most guys she didn't feel that way around, except maybe her brother. the guys she had been friends with in the past or even dated would pretty much leave her out for the wolves if they got distracted by some other pretty girl or got a better offer. Granted he was studying to become law enforcement so it would have been pretty sad if she couldn't trust him.
Depending on what you were doing in bed it could have been important she said with a wink, giving him a hard time. Gia was pretty open about everything so there were very few topics that were off the table. No, but apparently your trying to get lucky she said jokingly as he mentioned putting her drinks on his tab. besides your the only guy I'm taking home she said since she had promised some food afterwords. They could just sit, chat, eat and watch movies back at her place later where it was a bit quiet. Sure she loved the club but even she had her limit on the amount of time she could dance in heels.
True, your just too....muscular she said squeezing his muscles. Of course she had admired the fact that his shirt was showing off his abs, there was no denying that Garrett was attractive to the eye. If they hadn't known each other he would have been just the kind of guy based on looks that she would have tried to scoop up and take back home. Its just too intimidating... I'm pretty much screwed...I guess you will just have to do she said laughing. Now whats my chances of getting you on that dance floor after a few drinks? she asked. Even if it wasn't at the club, or tonight she would get him to dance with her even if it was in a week, month, or year. Eventually she would break him down.

Garrett wasn't the one for the party scene. Even the club was a bit too much for him. But a night out once in awhile wouldn't kill him. Hopefully. Usually, if he were to go to a bar, it'd be a more low-key scene for him, rather than the loud music of the club. He didn't mind coming to the club for Gia, though. Especially if he got to watch her dance. He didn't think he'd be joining her on the dance floor tonight, but who knew what was going to happen if she got enough drinks on him.
"You don't wanna know," he winked, teasing her. He had been sleeping, but she didn't know that. Besides, he needed to keep his distance from her. At least in a romantic way. He wasn't the type for a one night stand, but he also wasn't much of a relationship person. He didn't have the time to focus on a relationship with his school. He laughed, and gave Gia a bright smile. "I guess you'll be the one to find that out," he said, flirting with her. "And you're damn right I'm going home with you. I'm looking forward to that food you're cooking for me," he said, happily. Food was definitely a big motivator for him. And he'd be able to just hang out with her in a quieter environment. Better than the club, anyways.
"You've got your looks," he said, "But as long as you're sitting next to me, you're right. You're screwed." He laughed when she said he would have to do. "Besides, wouldn't it be a bit awkward if you were taking me and another guy home?" he asked. "Have to explain why I'm sitting outside the door, eating your food." He drifted off, smiling at her. He knew that neither of them would be taking anyone else home. They were stuck with each other from the moment she texted him. Garrett shook his head at her, laughing. "I don't think so, little lady," he said. "Not unless you get a lot of drinks in me." It would take more than a few beers to get him to dance with her. Dancing was not something he was good at, or something that he did. Not since high school.

When the bartender had finished mixing her drink she pressed the glass to her lips taking in the sharp taste of alcohol. Gia didn't drink to much out in public because she knew her tolerance was not good. The last thing she needed to do was puke on some cute strangers shoes. Now if she was at home by herself or with friends she had no limit to the amount she would drink. At least her friends wouldn't judge her too much if she got on the table to dance or needed someone to help hold her hair back if she got sick. What you had to watch out for was Gia spilling every ones secrets and inner most feelings to every one else if she felt that they needed to have a deep conversation. Sometimes it was just better to get her drunk quickly so she would just pass out in her bed, though if you were the sucker who had to help her to bed she most likely forced you to cuddle with her all night. She had a strong grip even when she was intoxicated.
Gia did prefer real relationships over something casual or just a fling. She had been stuck in a multiple "one nighter" before and she started to have feelings when the guy did not. It sort of hurt and so she did limit those encounters, mainly because of how awful he had made her feel. In reality Gia was the perfect girl to bring home to your parents. She was friendly, kind, engaging and had a great sense of humor...parents and authority figures loved her. Atleast if they could get past the dancing/acting thing because a lot of people didn't see that as a proper career move.
Any idea what your craving? she asked out of curiosity. Her apartment was well stashed with food, between the 3 girls that lived there and the other two's boyfriends always there they didn't lack much in the food, snacks, or beer department. Gia did eat pretty healthy most of the time but she liked to indulge in some things. I could make a Kale salad she said jokingly, even she didn't like the leafy greens. To her it tasted like what she would imagine taking a bite out of the earth would taste like.
The thought of him just sitting around while she was in the room with another guy made her laugh, and reminded her of all the times she would be sitting in the kitchen munching on a bowel of honey nut cheerios just to be interrupted by her roommates and their boyfriends. It was a bit awkward. Well someone has got to be my bouncer and kick him out afterwords, might as well get used to it i'll need a body guard some day when i'm famous she joked. It was never smart to let a quick fling linger.
Gianna was not disappointed that it would be only them going home together, she liked spending time with Garrett and was happy that he had given her the chance to get to know him. Come on this could be my chance to make you look good, i could always teach you a few moves she said. In reality guys didn't have to do much out on the dance floor, it was all about touch and moving with your partners body. It's not like she was asking him to be her dance partner for the type of dancing she did in class. It wasn't long until she had finished her first drink and was ready for one more.
I'm so going to regret wearing these bad boys tonight, though if i ever feel the need to become a hooker they might come in handy she said laughing. Gia loved heels, the taller the better but maybe that was because she felt so short. A good pair of heels drew attention and made people look at you. Her friends she had hooked up with earlier were still on the dance floor but Gia wasn't quite ready to leave Garrett's side yet. If I get that many drinks into you arn't you afraid I might take advantage of you? she asked jokingly referring back to a conversation they had at their first meeting. I'll give up for now, but someday I'll get you out there she said feeling determined.

Getting drunk at a club during the weekend wasn't Garrett's usual night out. He wasn't even sure if it was Gia's, but he thought it was more her scene than his. Considering she was the one who had asked him to meet her here. He downed the last of his beer, and then decided to live a little bit more on the edge. He ordered a double shot of tequila, downed it, and then requested a whiskey on rocks to satisfy him for the night. He was sure he'd end up with more than one or two by the end of the night. Maybe Gianna would be able to get him on the dance floor after all.
"Honestly, I'd be happy with a frozen pizza," he said. He would be happy with a hot meal, whether it came from scratch or not. It was obviously appreciated if she did decide to cook a homemade meal, but food was food to him. Plus, he was going home with her. He loved spending time with her. Which wasn't usual for him. He was a very independent person, and he never relied on anyone. But around her, he seemed to let his guard down. She knew how to get right under his skin. "But please, don't make me a kale salad," he laughed. "Hot food is preferred,"
He took a drink of his whiskey, and shook his head at the thought. "If I'm going to be your body guard, you're never gonna get laid," he joked, teasingly. The thought of her bringing home another guy bothered him. The girl deserved a good guy. Someone to take care of her. But nobody was going to live up to Garrett's standards. "Are you saying I don't already look good?" he asked, daring her, teasingly.
He laughed. "Stripper shoes," he agreed. "Never understand why you damn females put them on your feet if you know you're going to regret it." Heels were a foreign thing to him. The pain almost never seemed worth it. He had seen blisters on the backs of other girl's heels due to the wrong pair of shoes. But damn, Gia looked good in the heels. Almost made her legs seem as if they went on forever. He snapped up, his gaze lingering on her legs for just a few seconds too long. "I've told you before," he smiled, "I'm not afraid of you taking advantage of me."

I think we can do better than frozen pizza and kale salad she laughed. Gianna liked pizza allot but the Italian in her would not stand for frozen pizza at all. She would just have to figure out what exactly they had stashed in the cupboards before making a decision. I'll take a double shot of Tequila too she said, needing something a little stronger. No Garrett, your soo handsome she said pinching both of his cheeks. New Rules by Dua Lipa started to play and her eyes lit up, tipping back the drink and slamming the shot glass on the counter she headed out to the dance floor again. I love this song, Ill be right back she said. Gia had a wide range of musical interests, sure she loved her dance music but she also was a huge fan of musicals and classical music.
One of the hard things about being a girl on the dance floor were drunk guys who thought they could have any girl they wanted just by grabbing a hold of them and forcing them to dance out of discomfort. Gia was not a timid girl and made it quite obvious when she was not interested in someone. Except the guy that had come up to her now was just not quite getting the hint. He was good looking for sure but he he was oozing cockiness that really turned her off, especially when he grabbed her and pulled her close. She gently shoved him away and moved through the crowed to get away. Now she was prepared to let the incident go, but when he followed her and once again pulled her close he had pushed her buttons a little to far. Taking one of her stiletto heels she shoved it into the guys foot. He briefly crumbled over in pain before hobbling back to his buddies at the bar that were now laughing and giving him shit.
She stayed on the dance floor for a couple more minutes before deciding she had, had enough and returning to the bar. Now that is why we wear heels, that and it makes are butts and legs look great, especially for us short people...not all of us are blessed with your height she said. I'll take another shot she said grabbing the bartenders attention Make it two. One down fall about being at a club was all the body heat and sweat, it wasn't exactly attractive, especially after you had been drinking. Just a little insight to a girls mind she said. There were certain things that girls did to catch the attention of others, little tricks to accentuate their body. For a moment she caught him looking her over but it did nothing more than bring a smile from her face, at least she had caught his attention. Maybe that's really what it had been all about even if she didn't realize it. Gia typically wasn't some one who liked to vie for the attention of others, she didn't know what it was like to be the chaser and not the chasee. I'm a dancer, I'm used to my feet hurting she said. True enough Gianna preferred Hip Hop the most but she had also taken regular ballet classes and that was where the blisters and bleeding feet came it.
The drinks were starting to catch up with her as she started to become real giggly. At least she was always a happy drunk, but the smallest things would set off the school girl giggles. Next would be the crazy antics and speaking without thinking, if she had much more to drink.

Garrett laughed. "Alright then, it's up to you," he said. He wasn't sure what else he should have her make. Any food sounded good. He knew she liked her food spicy, so she'd probably make something along those lines. He eyed her as she ordered a double shot, too. It was going to be that kind of night. He was probably going to have to carry her out of the night club. Not that he minded. As long as he had control of the situation, he was happy. He shook his head as she pinched his cheeks. "As long as you think so," he laughed. He nodded at her as she ran off to the dance floor, happy she didn't try to take him with her.
He watched her dance, enjoying the sight of it. Until some guy wasn't taking the hint to back off of her. He was about to stand up as Gia shoved her heel into the guy's foot. Now that was where those stripper shoes came into use. He personally wouldn't like the feel of those shoes going into his foot. He figured he'd better stay on Gia's good side. Not that he could really get onto her bad side. Garrett didn't like that he couldn't take care of the guy, but he was happy Gia was able to take care of herself. He felt conflicted, but watched her as she walked back toward him. "Want me to get him out of here?" he asked, all too willing.
Garrett nodded at her comment about heels. He fully understood now. "Same here. Double, please," he ordered, following suit with Gia. "Be careful. Too many shots, and you won't be able to cook dinner," he teased. He downed the shot, the alcohol burning the back of his throat and nodded. "Good to know for the future," he smiled. "I don't understand why you girls put yourself through so much pain," he said. He hadn't ever watched a ballet, so he didn't know what the dances did to their feet. He just knew that heels were no good for women's feet. Garrett had the urge to pull Gia in closer as she started giggling, but he resisted. "Feeling it, are we?" he said, smiling.

She loved that he was acting protective of her but she didn't think that guy would try anything else with her tonight, or wouldn't if he knew what was good for him. You can just leave him be for now, he isn't worth the time she said. Garrett was a good guy,, one she knew she could trust. If only every guy were like that, of course she wasn't delusional every one even woman had their dirty thoughts and desires and no one was perfect. If he tries anything else, then be my guest she said. Though for now she was planning on sticking close to Garrett so the chances were slim.
Just remind me to turn off the stove and everything will good she said. It would probably be a entertaining endeavor but she would be able to push through. Even if something as simple as boiling water sent her into a laughing frenzy, which wouldn't be that out of the ordinary. You might just have to help me cook, otherwise you really might now know what your eating she said. A little bit of this, a little bit of that...oh lets throw in some cheerios.
It's not so bad, you don't feel anything after your feet go numb she said jokingly. Really once you got used to them they weren't awful. It's the getting used to them that killed you the most. I'll never understand how you guys put yourself through so much pain to get those muscles she said jokingly, she understood it all too well and yet sometimes she hated working out.
I'm surprised more murders arn't caused by scorned woman using heals she said pondering this thought for a minute. Ya don't get on my bad side, I may be short and cute but I could be deadly with my heals. It was more likely Gia would trip and fall and kill herself while being drunk then she ever would kill any one. Don't worry about me I know my number, its definitely 5 she said as she held up 4 fingers. Okay so I might be feeling it just a little she said with a cheesy grin as she used her fingers to jesture "just a litttle".
"You're killing all my fun," he said, putting on a sad face. He hated the fact he couldn't be in control of the situation. He almost hoped the guy would try something again, but he figured he wouldn't. Not after the show Gia put on. She wasn't one to be messed with. Garrett was happy to be on her good side. He nodded. "Oh trust me, I will," he said. If the guy did decide to try anything else, he'd regret it in a few seconds flat. But he was sure the guy watched Gia walk back to him, so she was probably safe for the night. At least, from that guy.
Garrett took a nice long drink of his whiskey, and smiled. "I can probably do that," he said, laughing. Turning off the stove wouldn't be an issue at all. He didn't want her apartment to catch on fire, after all. Her roommates probably wouldn't be too thrilled with that idea, either. "I can't promise you on the 'help you cook' part," he said, teasingly. "I'm not sure if I remember how to do that, after all the take out I eat." He really didn't cook for himself very often. It was usually either the diner that fed him, or the takeout restaurants around him. Or ramen noodles.
"These muscles are worth the pain," he said. "Those blisters on your feet, are not." Muscles and blisters were two very different things in his mind. He gained something by working out, despite the pain. Women didn't really gain much while wearing heels. Unless you counted the looks they got, but that wasn't his point. But he guessed she was right about the dangers of women in heels. If they wanted to, they could seriously injure someone. He shook his head as she held up four fingers. "Just a little, eh?" he asked. He was feeling it himself, but it didn't show quite as much. He just had a slight buzz going on from those tequila shots he had been drinking.

I mean if you really feel like it would be fun, then be my guest she said. Maybe that guy wouldn't mess around like that if someone taught that guy a lesson, though if there was some sort of fight they would probably get themselves kicked out. You know if you really want to protect me, you will come out on that dance floor with me. I'm drunk and vulnerable right now....how can you say no? she said trying to guilt trip him. Gia was determined to get him out there, even if he felt more comfortable slow dancing to a bad ass hip hop song like weirdo's that was okay. Not every one was comfortable club dancing.
Cooking is easy, just boil the hamburger and fry the noodles....oh you know what I mean she said realizing she was making no sense at all. I can't believe you don't cook and just eat out all the time, do I need to feed you more? I mean seriously how do you eat out all the time and still keep these she said placing her hands on his abs and letting them linger there for just a minute. Okay so maybe she got a little touchy when she was drunk but she didn't mean much by it. Her mother always said the way to a mans heart was through food. It's okay I'll just have to take care of you she said as if she was talking to a poor lost child.
One More she motioned to the bartender. This would have to be her last one otherwise she may not be able to walk in those heels, granted it might be a bit of a show as it was now. Heels and alcohol did not mix well. It's not going to be worth it when I have to walk home she said. It was a good thing her home was not that far otherwise it would be a sad night indeed. Just gives us a reason to go get massages and pedicures more she said, Gia like to pamper herself every once and a while. There was nothing better than a foot massage, well if you didn't have a problem with feet that was.
I think I'm almost ready to go, you know after I get you to dance. she hinted at again. She would just annoy the crap out of him until he gave him. Lets be honest, no man ever had control in any relationship when there was a beautiful woman gazing into their eyes.
