History || Diana was the product of an affair. Her mother died in childbirth, so she was raised as the daughter of her father and his wife, and does not know about her true origins.
Her entire life, her mother never seemed to love her like she did her older siblings, and sometimes told her that she would never amount to anything. Her father tried to make up for it, by spoiling her more them her siblings, and appearing to favor her.
Growing up, she often befriended children who seemed less fortunate then her. She would feel sorry for them and give them money or things, which her father would then replace.
As a child, she did average in school, but many of her teachers thought she could do better. She did not. It did not help that her mother still told her bad things about her, when no one else was listening, and that her actions made it clear she favored her siblings to her.
She developed an interest in ponies. Her father signed her up for riding lessons. She seemed to be more confident when she was with a horse or pony, then any other time. She eventually got her own pony, who she named Buttercup, who soon became her best friend. She mostly just wanted to have fun with Buttercup, but her father kept on signing her up for shows. She often did fairly well.
As a teenager, she started volunteering at a therapeutic horsemanship center. After finishing high school, she continued volunteering there, and also put in a few hours a week at an animal shelter, and a homeless shelter. Her father was upset that, she was only doing part-time work, was making no money off of it, and also about the fact that she had decided not to go to college. This went on for almost two years, until her father pretended to be her and filled out a collage application for her. It was at the same school that her brother was going too, so he figured her wouldn’t have to worry about that fact that she did not seem to be able to look after herself.
She did not want to go, thinking that collage would be more then she could handle. Her father convinced her by telling her that he would move Buttercup (fortunately she never grew too big for her pony) to a boarding stable in Copper Harbor, weather she went there or not.
