Vincent had been enjoying his time at Copper Harbor, it had been such a nice break from the craziness that was forced upon him by his father. He wasn't really sure if the business route was for him but at the same time he didn't think he could go against his fathers wishes. Sometimes it could be hard dealing with family. When he got the news that his baby sister Diana would be joining him here he wasn't quite sure what to think. He cared for and was very much protective over her but at the same time she just never seemed like the college type, in fact he could never even remember her talking about wanting to attend college. This must have been their fathers doing, regardless he thought it would be a good life lesson for his youngest sibling.
Diana 11:45pm: Meet me at the rock if your free
She had not been around campus very long yet and so he figured he should send her a text and spend some times with her before her busy social schedule picked up. It was strange these two were so different, Diana was so outgoing and people made vincent want to crawl in a hole. Taking a seat he waited for her to show up until getting his food. The dinning hall wasn't overly fancy and he could have taken her out somewhere nicer, it wasn't like money was a problem. Vincent was just a bit more frugal with how he spent their families money. Anyways eating in the dinning hall felt more like a "college kid" kind of thing to do. If you were going to be here why not immerse yourself in the culture. Sometimes it was nice not having to live up to expectations or pressures. He had no doubt that Diana would probably be late, he just hoped he didn't starve to death before she showed up.

The morning after the evening she arrived on campus, Diana was at the stable, checking on Buttercup, when she received a text from her big brother, who she was happy to meet with. After arriving back on campus, she went to look for where some of her classes were, which she knew she would have to know because classes were starting up in a few days. She ended up approaching Vincent’s table only a few minutes after he had asked her to meet him. This was good for her.
Diana had a record of not paying enough attention to the time and being really late for things. While doing volunteer work, there were a few times in which she delayed whole riding lessons and sessions because there weren’t enough volunteers and she wasn’t there yet, which had taught her that she had to get better at paying attention to the time. She had, but she still was not very punctual.
“Hi Bro,” she greeted, sitting down across from him. She took some amusement in sometimes calling Vincent Bro, and Bianca Sis, although she had never been sure why she found amusement in it.
Most people would not be able to see it, but Diana was really nervous. Despite her father’s repeated claims that she would do fine, she was sure that her in collage was a bad idea. It was unusual for her to be mad at her father, but she currently was.

Vincent looked up when he heard a familiar voice directed at him, just to see the bubbly blonde he called his sister. Hello Diana...You actually showed up on time he mused looking down at his watch. He was happy to see her and just spend some time with her. Lately there hadn't been much time to spend with his sisters as they were all doing their own things. It was nice to see them every once and a while though.
Have you had a chance to look around and find your classes yet? he asked wanting to make sure she knew where she was going and what she was doing. College could be a bit over whelming, there were large buildings and multiple ones at that. Vincent got lost quite a bit his first week but after that he was able to navigate pretty well. Funny thing was he had been stopped multiple times by new students thinking he was a professor and asking directions. I guess it was a easy mistake, the way he dressed and acted he seemed a lot older than he was and well he did look a bit like a professor.
Have you eaten lunch yet? We can get something here or go out somewhere if you want to? he asked wanting to make sure that she was taking care of herself and getting enough food and not just junk food. It wasn't like they had to be overly cautious with their money like many of the college students who had top roman every night. Still he hated relying on his fathers money. What classes are you taking and have you decided what you want to study? he asked being the overly concerned and pushy brother that he was. He didn't just want to see her skating by and not taking school seriously.

“Yeah, I’ve been trying to get better at that,” she replied. She understood why he was surprised at her being on time, but she could not help but feel a little bad that he had expected her to be late. She tried not to show it, though.
“After getting back from the barn this morning, Buttercup’s doing okay by the way, I looked for my classes, and managed to find two of them. Hopefully, later, I’ll still remember where they are.” She spoke her last sentence in a joking manner, but she actually was worried that she would forget where her classes were. She was taking the minimum allowed for a student living in the dorms, and she didn’t take anything that seemed like it would be very difficult for her, but she was still worried. High school had been hard for her, and she knew that collage was supposed to be even harder.
“I think I’d like to try eating lunch here,” she replied. She had eaten breakfast there, and the food was alright, although not great. She had been worried that there might not be any vegan options, but there were a few. She suspected that the food options would be different for lunch, and she wanted to see what they were.
“I’m taking Writing 101, and Introduction to Theater, to get the English and communication requirements for all students out of the way. Then I have Introduction to Psychology, and Introduction to Sociology, which I took in high school and liked,” she explained. “I don’t really know yet, but I’m leaning toward one of the social sciences, or maybe education.”
What she really wanted was to go home. Her father said he’d miss her, but he thought this would be good for her. Her mother had not said anything, but she knew that she was happy that she was gone.

Vincent didn't mean to be so hard on his younger sister but to a point he felt like it was his job to take care of her and make sure she could make it through life. He hadn't even remembered his mom being pregnant, but at the same time he was so young he probably just didn't notice. His father had always told him that he would need to protect her and take care of her. Sometimes it felt like a burden that he didn't want, but then he remembered how much he loved both of his sisters. Plus as they got older he did notice their mothers certain dislike of the youngest child. He found it odd that a woman could dislike her child, of course he never questioned it out loud as he didn't want to hurt his mothers feelings either.
As long as you arn't late to your classes your fine he said. He was just her brother and it wasn't a big deal if she showed up late, but she needed to take her classes and other important appointments/dates/events seriously.
Don't worry, it doesn't take long to figure your way around and you always have me if you get lost he said. It seems that as you get older and each new school you go to gets bigger, but just like all the times before your nervous at first but then soon enough walking from class A to class B is as easy as walking from your bedroom to the kitchen.
Good, I'm glad she arrived safe. Vincent never had interest in horses and honestly didn't ever think he would ever ride one. He ha only been to the barn a few times to take Diana before she could drive herself. If he ever went up with her he would go in the barn, avoid contact with the horses and just stand in the corner until she was done riding. He didn't get the whole thing but he supported his sisters love for the creatures.
I know you don't want to be here Diana, but just remember this is for you? We can't piggy back off of dad forever, and it's nice to work hard for something. I'm proud of you for at least making it here and putting in the effort. Whatever you decide to do he said giving her a bit of a pep talk. Growing up being handed everything you wanted made things difficult when the reality of working came into play.
Alright well lets go see what they have to eat, the rabbit food is over there he said pointing to a large cart with salad, fruit and veggie type stuff. He was just teasing her of course as he had no interest in being a vegan. What were brothers for if not giving you a hard time.

“Well, I certainly hope I’m not.” When she had to be someplace by a certain time, she would set her phone alarm to tell her when she start heading there. She did not like relying that much on technology, but she could never remember to check what time it was regularly, and she could never tell what time it was without looking at some sort of clock anyway.
She had been worried about figuring out her way around campus and the many buildings. She was somewhat reassured by his claim that it shouldn’t take long to figure her way around, but not completely. She knew that he was better at this sort of stuff then she was. She was glad when he offered her his help.
She knew that he did not care too much about Buttercup. She had wanted to mention him, so she did. He acted like he cared at least somewhat, and she was glad for that.
She sighed. “I know. I’m just scared.” Her voice changed to a whisper. “I don’t think I’m smart enough to be here.” She had not wanted to tell him that, as she hated to whine, but she felt that she had been holding it in for too long. Her lack of confidence was something that she really struggled with, and also something that she was fairly closed off about. She was a fairly open person, although she tended to prefer talking about others to talking about herself, but not about everything.
She giggled, at the rabbit food joke, not at all offended. “Thanks,” she said, for more than just pointing out where the salad bar. She got up and went to look for food. For breakfast, she had eaten unfrosted strawberry pop tarts and a banana. Now, for lunch, she had ended up with salad, an apple, some potato chips, and a can of sprite.
“So how have you been doing,” she asked, once they were both back at the table, with their lunches. She understood why the conversation had, so far, been directed at her, but she had not heard from him in a while and she wanted to hear about him.
